Typically sofas have welt, they can have contrast welt, self-welt, double-welt, no welt, decorative trim, gimp detail, fat welt, thin welt, and there are more. One that is not seen very often is a flange-welt. Done right this look can be casual and relaxed, but done badly and, well the flange reminds me of what young boys are rid of during a
bris, slouchy and not particularly useful. Here are some fine examples for you to decide if you agree or not.
